“I have seen all places, but none can compare to You.”
Gurdwara Sahib Yishun is located in the Northern part of Singapore. Its origins go back to the colonial interwar years when three Gurdwaras existed there during the British era.
Gurdwara means the ‘Guru’s Door’ or ‘through the Guru’. Attending our programs regularly can bring many blessings to your life.
“O mind, meet with the Guru, and worship the Naam in adoration!
You shall obtain peace, poise, bliss, joy and pleasure, and the foundation of Eternal Life.” ~ SGGS 530
We go to the Gurdwara for guidance, to understand scripture (Gurbani) and apply it to our lives, to worship the Divine (Waheguru), to gain spiritual insights, to seek Guru’s blessings and have the opportunity to serve others. Being part of the congregation (Sangat) strengthens our faith and, collectively, our community. It also gives us a sense of belonging as we socialize and interact, and it provides a platform for our children to learn and grow as Gursikhs. So come every week to our prayer services and encourage others to do so too!
The Guru’s Great Presence is found within the Body of the Sadh Sangat. Join us every Sunday morning, 9:30am to 11:00am.
Daily prayer services are also available:
Start your day with the Nitnem banis (prayers) that a Sikh is expected to perform in the morning. They include: Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, Tav-Prasad Savaiye, Chaupai Sahib and Anand Sahib.
Daily 5:30am to 6:30am
The hymns in Asa Di Vaar cover a range of topics, including love, devotion, humility, and selfless service, and they are meant to inspire us to live our lives according to the principles of Sikhism.
Daily: 6:45am to 7:30am
Join us in meditating on the name of the Divine and strive to achieve a state of spiritual awareness, growth, and liberation. The benefits of group meditation are too great to miss out on!
Every Thursday: 5pm to 8pm
End your busy day with Rehraas, a daily Nitnem prayer that is recited every evening around dusk. The session includes blissful kirtan and ends with Ardas (supplication) and Sukhasan of Guru Granth Sahib ji.
Daily 6:15pm to 7:30pm
We have many exciting events throughout the year so please check back for updates.
